Alastair’s dual qualifications and full reconstructive training mean he is ideally positioned to provide the highest standards of treatment in the field of jaw implant surgery.

Working alongside the very best UK Dental specialists, Alastair regularly performs complete jaw reconstructions – often rebuilding the jaws ‘from scratch’ – following trauma or cancer surgery.

Dr Aroob Essa Karjikar

After completing her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree, Aroob entered postgraduate training in Prosthodontics (the advanced specialty within Dentistry of tooth replacement) in Dundee, where she was awarded an MSc with Merit, and in the process gained specialist experience with Dentures and Aesthetic restorations.

After this, Aroob completed her MClinDent in Prosthodontics, focusing mainly on full mouth rehabilitations and implant restorations, from the prestigious King’s College London, where she graduated with Distinction.

Aroob also holds a specialty Membership in Prosthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh, and is currently a clinical lecturer at Kings College London. She has worked at Guy’s and St.Thomas’ hospital where she exclusively rehabilitated head and neck cancer patients, helping patients to be able to eat again after surviving cancer treatment.

Trained under the mentorship of Professor Michael Fenlon exclusively in head and neck rehabilitation, her research focusses on implant rehabilitation in cancer patients.

Aroob’s vast experience successfully managing the most complex implant cases imaginable makes her the ideal colleague for replacing teeth for patients – be it simple single tooth replacement, or a complete jaw rebuild after major head and neck surgery.
